Objectives:

List the major contributing factors to altered pharmacokinetics in older adults.

Determine the essential risks to identify when reviewing the effectiveness of an older patient’s medication regimen.

Construct an appropriate plan for safe administration or self-administration of medications to older adults.

Identify the specific interventions recommended for administering medications by various routes to older adults.
