Description & Objectives:
Educational technology to engage students and support learning is plentiful. Nurse educators may be intrigued, but unsure how to get started exploring options. The purpose of this presentation is to showcase different genres of educational technology and provide examples for how they can be used in nursing education.

This presentation will outline resources that can be used for the purposes of classroom engagement, supporting simulation, providing study aids, and staying organized in a nursing program. Options that will be discussed include classroom apps, ePortfolios, concept mapping tools, Google options, and reference resources. This presentation will conclude with a discussion about challenges educators should anticipate in order to successfully implement new technology into the classroom.
